The Maddening Wind by Maraia

… blowing in her head, the roar of transgression subdued to a murmur which won’t let her be…

Such striking combination of texture/flat : colors are divine. The negative space makes this even more striking. I can feel the effects of the mistral, the sirocco, the Santa Anas… the winds that are said to make one temporarily crazy!

  • Oh, Hi , margot, I’m so glad that you like it! I’m getting addicted to photoshop (something I never thought possible). Once you minimally get used to the basic processes you can start enjoying it and the possibilities are so many that I get greedy :))

  • Thanks, Nikolay, for your kind comment. I do keep on, only I’m not sure if I’m not overdoing it…. photoshop is a very dangerous tool…

Came back to see this again. She remind me so much of the Santos and, of course, the armless mannequin which have occupied The Cottage for so many years.
Also to say congratulations on your Feature in DaDa Land; your work and and your mind are wonderful!

  • Oh, thanks so much, margot, for these wonderful and encouraging words. I’m really thrilled with these two features on my digital work, considering I’m an absolute beginner at this. I’ll look at the work you mention, but my internet connection at home failed yesterday . I hope it is repaired today so that I can connect, otherwise i wil just feel miserable….
