  • Oh, anais, I’m so glad I’ve met you… you are so appreciative of my work! I am sometimes a bit disconcerting, even for myself, I mean my style never stays coherent for too long, I vary a lot with the different media and some people find it …too much. But you are really flexible and seem to understand all my moods, thanks indeed for your interest!

  • thanks so much, nanaellis. I may try and take another picture of this one for I think the velatura on the sky looks nicer on the original work… Ufff, taking pictures is not my stong point….

This is marvelous!!! such a meaningful piece. Love the closed up (unattainable) tree of “life” and Eve’s body language says it all. Inverting the sun is a great visual/metaphoic device in this storytelling. One thought I may try would be to use a circle template to round out the circle a bit more and add the dark rays broken through the sky. Just offered as loving thoughts as I do for my own work. But rest assured I find this a beautiful and meaningful work. Good For YOU Maraia! :)))

  • Hey, Yvonka, what a great comment! I’m so glad you like this! It has been a picture which took me looong to complete and has passed through various very different stages till Eve appeared and everything fit into place. I truly appreciate your feedback, for when you comment on a picture you are able to find and express a core of meaning which always contributes to the appreciation of the work in question. So thanks indeed!

Fascinating work and dream world, Maraia, where everything seems upside down. You may have something there.

Would be delighted if you would submit this work to solo exhibition, Maraia.
    Thanks :)
