I am a mother of 7 and after 20 years of running a daycare, I consider myself retired and am now homeschooling my 4 younger children. I grew up in a middle class neighborhood centered between two project areas. Being the outsider made it tough for me if I went into those neighborhoods. Any time I spent outside was hard earned. Therefore I began to look at the sky as an escape, especially when I prayed. Now as an adult, I truly appreciate the beauty of the sunrise, the sunset, a flower growing through the gravel of a country road. Those next to the smiles of my children’s faces, are my greatest treasures.
Here is some of my work from the rural areas of the midwest. God often speaks to us in the quiet things in life.
All that we have to do is “Look up and then we will know He is God.”
