Great shot – one of those glorious moments….
PS: Thanks for your great comments on To Highway really appreciate it… just quickly as I’m in an internet cafe in Greece…
I shoot using a Nikon D200 and still don’t know what all the buttons do… however, I am a firm believer that composition is everything doesn’t matter what little effects you bring to an image later if don’t have the best composition first you are fighting against getting the best piece. I use Photoshop on a Mac, and usually try the usual things… however, I’m away at the moment and my laptop doesn’t have all y usual Photoshop windows displayed on the screen, as I’m usually hooked up to a 23 inch screen with the laptop… Using shadow / highlights is the most important part, to get the tones either really flat like a painting or really contrasty like an edgey photo – then all i do is heaps of time consuming burning and dodging (just like in a real darkroom) and start controlling the light and tones that way… It’s the best way to control the feel you want for each image….
Thanks again for the great comments back on my work – I find it very inspiring… Thank you!
