I have loved art all of my life. After years of painting with oils and film photography, I have discovered the wonderful world of digital photography. 3 years ago I purchased a Canon XTI and loved it. I also had a Canon sd790 IS Powershot. In 08 I had a wonderful trip to France and took only the powershot to save weight for traveling. Bad idea. I got some good shots but found myself limited. I gave it to my friend and vowed to only go on future trips with an SLR.
Last year I upgraded to a Canon 50D and a few excellent lenses. I love it.
I am now teaching myself Adobe’s Lightroom.
Photoshop seems to make me nervous but I will probably take a class sometime this year.
I am excited about nature and macro photography. I try to bring all that I learned from painting and drawing into my pics.
