I’d have been delighted to be able to say I caught this whilst on some amazing adventure, but alas that would be an outright lie. This is one of the lovely Toco Toucans at Birdworld, in Farnham, Surrey.

He was taking a nice shower as it was such a hot day, and was delighted to get this shot of him, somehow the camera magically ignored the wire mesh in front of him for just a few shots and this was one of them… eeee!

Love that beak. What a beautiful bird and nice framing too. Like the rain.

  • It looks awfully sharp, doesn’t it!? apparently its the largest beak on any bird relative to body size in the world…!

Beautiful beautiful capture! I’m so envious, I’ve never gotten a good shot of a Toucan. Lovely work!

  • Hi Damienne, I’m glad you like this one. I’m very proud of it, I think it was just one of those lucky shots. I’m sure you’ll get your Toucan shot soon :) Thanks for commenting and favouriting!

What a wonderful capture love the water droplets just hanging off his bill. Beautiful bill he has to and his wet feathers just add to the effect.

  • Thanks for the comments Karen :) always appreciated.
