when the Remote has gone Astray
Remote remote belongs to the following groups:

I hunted high and low
The time it took to find it
I missed half my favourite show
It took a whole half hour
To locate it’s whereabouts
That’s 30 trips to and from the Set
Of that I have no doubts
It was meant to make life easy
A concept I’m all for
But ever since we got it
I know I’ve walked much more
Everytime I’ve ever needed it
It’s the same distance out of range
As the couch that I am sitting on
and the TV knob I want to change
I swear it sees me coming
And its got a bloody cheek
it finds the remotest places
to play games of hide and seek
Life really got more complicated
When two things went to hide
Not only the Remote Control
But the bloody TV Guide
It really makes me wonder
who’s pushing whose knob
if it’s got a life of it’s own
then it’s not doing it’s job

we think we are so clever….. with the latest hi-tech gadgets that are meant to make life easier.
We have to work harder and longer to afford them then we’re too busy working to enjoy them…go figure!!!!

it’s only now…. after all this time, that i have realised the effort it takes to get the remote could have been used to change the channel physically.
i hope someone invents a remote operated by Mental Telepathy Now there’s an idea!!!

Very funny piece indeed. Something we can all relate to. My problem is my son is the keeper of the remote. He has it down to such a fine art that he falls asleep on the couch, remote clapsed firmly in hand. If one tries to pry said remote from his clutch, he will fight to the death.
