Dune 45 in Sossusvlei National Park in the Namib desert, Namibia. Not the highest sand dune here but very impressive.
The sand dunes here are the highest in the world, some reaching up to 300 meters. The Tropic of Capricorn runs through this desert.

It’s a hell of a hike up there, especially when you are first and you are paving the way for everyone else in the soft sand. Well worth it though to be sitting up on top for the sunrise.

  • Many thanks again Chris for your comment. Yes it is quite a climb and it took my breath away but as you said it’s well worth it for the view which also took my breath away.
