Taken on the edge of a cliff at the Moon Landscape in the Namib Naukluft Park near Swakopmund, Namibia. Much of the area seems to be covered by craters. This unusual scenery has been used in the making of several films. It is also home of the famous plant ‘welwitschia’ which can live to be over two thousand years old and only grows in this area. The wee bird appeared out of no where and was not shy at all, probably as it may never had seen a human before.

That little bird couldnt have picked a better first human to see!
Youve seen some pretty fantastic places. This is as beautiful as your mountain snow scenes.
It is rather moon like and some wonderful info to go with it! Very nice Mamba!

  • Thanks for the compliment swaby, the bird can be lucky I’m not a real mamba.
