Saving the breaking
2008 pastel
For long I was in the dark. You came. Reached out your hand. Gave me hope. Opened my eyes. Though it hurts in a surreal way I know going towards the light is not just the end. It might be the reason. It might be what I was longing for. Did I need to be rescued? Wasn’t I happy in where I was: broken and hardened by darkness.
