Taken in the afternoon on May 15.
great shot helping the poor beautiful
This image is so powerful, I think the figure heading up the stairs and into the light reflects the many who simply walk by, too busy with their own lives to think of others.
Thank you very much, Keith. It was darker than this. The ordinary kindness in this darkness is beautiful.

Sometimes just a word, a smile, a moment to listen means so much. Marvelous and moving image.
Thank you for your great words, Helen. It’s so true. “Sometimes just a word, a smile, a moment to listen means so much.”
it is a picture of compassion with egos effectively put aside (because of the silhouetting). An excellent image telling a huge story.

Thank you very much for your insightful comment, Lightsmith, as always. Take care.

...when no one is looking
Excellent capture and lighting. Great silhouettes.
great work—the silouhette in itself provides a great feeling to this pic
beautiful moment
Powerful work!!
Love it Zhao! Emotional & bold message!
Great picture of light and dark..the details so well captured
And so it is.
Beautifully seen and captured. The choice of silhouette makes the photograph so strong.
Beautiful shadow play. Love the theatrical atmosphere in this picture. But again: it is the theatre of life itself in which we all play our part.
Great silhouette and sad image but nicely taken
This is beyond brilliant.
poignant shot
