Child of the 50's - 1952 Chevrolet Deluxe by

Definitely a child of the 50’s! This 1952 Chevrolet Deluxe was the last of the fastback’s for the era prior to the Korean War. For 1952, Chevy offered the largest selection of body colors and two-tone combinations ever available on a line of cars with 129 colors and exterior and interior combinations. I’m a big fan of this classic mint green color as an offset to the yards of chrome on the front bumper, headlights, and grill. Can you say cruise’n!!

Power for this beast was from an overhead valve 235.5 cubic-inch six-cylinder engine rated at 105 horsepower. Body styles included the Bel Air, Convertible, Station Wagon, 2- and 4-door sedan, and a Sport Coupe. Braking was by four-wheel hydraulic drums and Powerglide transmission. Ride, comfort, and durability were helped by the fact they were built like tanks out of thick US steel.

I hope you enjoy this image as much as I enjoyed the creative journey bringing it to you.

Dutch enjoys the thrill of travel, different cultures, and developing a connection with people and places along the way. Dutch’s philosophy is " every place is unique, and along with it’s people, has something to offer if you open your eyes, your heart, and your mind to the experience." The challenge is capturing those special people, places, and fleeting moments in time so there is a visceral-like connection to the resulting image.
