ahhh i just heard about this medium yesterday,please would you tell me details about how to work with itim afraid it will start drying in the palette when im painting, please tell me details if you can, im ready to follow you in this technic if you tell mei love the depth and the vivid color it gives, and if there is a way to retard its drying i would love to know;and how much pigment for one yolk of an egg:things like that :)thank you previouslyand i love your art this is a wonderful piece ; the lighting and the contrast is so originaly great
Hi – Thank you for the nice complements. It sounds like you are new to the medium as you have so many questions about the very basics. I would recommend that you take a class with someone – that is how I learned. If you can’t find anyone near you, then there are some very good books – Luminous Brush: Painting with Egg Tempera by Altoon Sultan is a favorite…but I learn best when someone shows me how to do it. It takes some practice to learn palette management and there are some tricks but basically I mix my colors fresh each day. It does dry overnight. Good luck to you!Maizajean
