If anyone is familiar with the photo manipulation genius of Rodney Pike, you may recognise that I used one of his projects as a source for this drawing. For a t-shirt with this design, see HERE
I used Prismacolor and Faber Castell pencils, along with Indian ink on Bristol Board smooth surface, 250gsm, 297mms x420 mms.

I’m a self-taught artist from the North of England and I like to inject a bit of humour wherever possible, whether it’s in my writing (see my poems), or my artwork.

I agree with Seth Margaret, this is a birthday party for the eyes, well drawn and just enough attention paid to detail. Its a pity you couldn’t lay claim to the original composition as I think it suits your pencil work superbly. Perhaps one day you could try your own manipulation of of a celeb, after all how hard can it be to draw a big nose. Great stuff.

  • I could certainly get a taste for this kind of style Gary, and it’s surprising how many celebs in the music business especially have large proboscises. Barry Manilow and Rod Stewart are begging to be made over….thanks Gary.
