Common resident. Male unique in having a bright indescent blu-green head, mantle, throat and breast plus white underparts. The male has a loud distinctive song. Pairs in mixed bushveld, any woodland and suburbia. Male is conspicuous by its habit of singing for long periods from a prominent perch.
