WOOLLY-NECKED STORK – Ciconia episcopus – WOLNEK OOIEVAAR
Sparse resident and common summer visitor. Identified by woolly white neck and head with black face, under-tail coverts project beyond the tail. Immature similar but duller, the bill horn-coloured. Usually single but large influxes during summer at floodplains and rivers in well-wooded regions of northern Botswana and the Zambezi valley in Zimbabwe. 86cm
