Circles Within Circles

tears dripping onto my tongue
like bitter ink onto pristine paper

writing songs of indigo
foamy waves crashing splashing

painting butterfly wings
swish-swish into the azure sky

to pull me back
from the dark

       flutterby wishes

to smell the sweet air
scented with memories and dreams

       lead weights

their surreal quality

my tongue…

The first two lines have been going round my head….

poem, poetry, tears, life, wishing, dreams, ink

I am a very creative person and it’s my way of dealing with the world, inside and out. I am only happy when I am making things or painting or writing. There are just not enough hours in the day…. I am into poetry and photo manipulation at the moment and also dabbling in photography. :-)

    sublime imagery and colour,
a senses inking my dear Sybille xxx

  • Thank you Lisa. This was a bit of an experiment with a minimal approach. Not quite a haiku, but I was trying to play with triggers…. Hope this makes sense. xoxoxox

Different from what I have seen of you as of yet, I like it’s fresh appeal, and must come back tomorrow and read it once more at least. (-: Mandi

  • Thank you so much Mandi. I am always playing and experimenting. This one was a play with a minimal approach trying to use just ‘triggers’ to create images. Hope that makes sense. LOL xo

Sybille….not difficult to re-sense the wonderful metaphors that are so true, so lively, so re-membered by myself. There is a sense of freedom from the clutch that the tears do in our throats..the swish…swish. …of the painting, the wonderful movement of the soul, transcending the grip of tears..I love so much your poem…and you did well, getting the two first verses ending, as in an eternal looping movement to where you started it. I love it.
I have NIRVANA writing for a while ( do not have time for everything and have to close it for a while, but it would be great to have in there….wonderful) I will try to catch you up for the invite later. And keep this thread in my dashboard)

  • Thank you so much Rosa. :-)

I do like this one Sybille, and it is different from your other works… it stands out. You gift this writing with a very specialness only you could have gifted it with, the words from your heart and soul pour forth. You gave so ‘freely’ of your being here, and this one is quite special indeed. Great writing Sybille!
