The book of tears:

       a secret

       a flickering candle
       sitting in the corner

       a shadow on a wall
       of utter darkness

       a song unheard
from the depths of a well

       a whisper in the fog

The book of longing:

I am the spider:
weaving my web
of gossamer filaments
to snatch some glitter dew
for my invisible crown
lit by starlight at dawn

Self-explanatory? A day of doubts…

I am a very creative person and it’s my way of dealing with the world, inside and out. I am only happy when I am making things or painting or writing. There are just not enough hours in the day…. I am into poetry and photo manipulation at the moment and also dabbling in photography. :-)

I love this Sybille . You excel in every medium. Moving and haunting words here.xx

  • Thank you so much Anna. LOL I am still not sure about my poetry, I thought for too many years that I am no good at poetry, although I’ve always loved it. Without RB I’d never have started writing poetry again, it encouraged me to explore different avenues from stict meters and rhymes. :-) xoxo

Your words here so feel like an enchantment that one finds in dusty covered books in the corner of very curiously dark book shops…
To be cast out the doubt and entice the light into our thinking me thinks…xxx

  • Thank you so much KarenSue. :-) Your comment has given me an idea for an illustration. LOL Wasn’t going to… but now… watch this space. :-) xoxo

Sybille, this is fascinating and intriguing verse…love it and the imagery within my head…the idea of the forgotten books deeply moves me. It’s as if they were disregarded and waiting to be discovered by someone.

  • Thank you so much Lisa, what a lovely comment. :-) I am so glad it works for you. Poetry is like art – either it touches you or it doesn’t and it’s so perfect when it does. xoxo
