Yearned for connection
Anticipated exultation
Much needed appreciation
Prayed for salvation
Electric spark
Magic spell
Soothing poultice
Welcome home

The colour
To paint skies blue
The song
To accompany the dance
The scent
To lead you into mystery
The taste
Of a life lived in all its glory
Reaching out
To the stranger that is you
The brave act
That binds you to me
Giving up fear
And flying free

Just one touch
       Can be the
       difference between

Just one touch
       Can do all that

Just one touch

It’s amazing what a touch can do – the literal touch as well as touching of minds…

I am a very creative person and it’s my way of dealing with the world, inside and out. I am only happy when I am making things or painting or writing. There are just not enough hours in the day…. I am into poetry and photo manipulation at the moment and also dabbling in photography. :-)

  • That is weird! I’ve done my own illustration here LOL Mad world! xo

Beautiful words which says a lot. Touching is one of the basic needs a baby needs to survive. We as adults need a hug and other caresses. But we all need to touch our inner selves and try to find it. If we don’t then we can’t really touch another person. Love it and the image.

  • Thank you so much Iris. You’re so right about this. I think it doesn’t stop with babies, though, I think we all need this connection to the world around us and to ourselves. xo

I agree with every word. There isn’t enough of it around. A pity that in today’s paranoid society it can sometimes be a “brave act” indeed to reach out and do it.

  • Thank you so much Mike. You’re right. Too much suspicion and not enough trust.
