Staying Alive

A breath
       a scream

A step
       best foot forward

A little dance
       just to show I can

A tear
a good cry on your shoulder

A fast walk forward
       a smile en route

A wheel
       pain is the best teacher

And so it goes on and on and on.

Will we ever learn?
Will we ever know?
Will we ever get there?

How many wheels from the beginning?
What is there to know?
What happens at the end?

       A deep breath
       A howling scream
Dancing on the shards of yesterday
       Tearing down the walls
       Walking on my grave
Cart wheeling from here to there.

Just one day after the other
till it’s time to say goodbye.

Not sure where this one came from… it’s been brewing for a while.

I am a very creative person and it’s my way of dealing with the world, inside and out. I am only happy when I am making things or painting or writing. There are just not enough hours in the day…. I am into poetry and photo manipulation at the moment and also dabbling in photography. :-)

where we end up usually depends on where start and what we learn depends on what why we need to…:):)…that’s my 2 bob’s worth…beautiful words, Sybille and as usual, haunting, dark and utterly mesmerising creation out of life’s questions..:)…xx chitrali

  • :-) Thank you Chitrali. I am in a pensive kind of mood… saw you are as well with your questions of letting go. Must be a day for it. ;-) xo

That is so clever Sybille.. and so sad as well. You are so multi-talented.
    xx

  • Thank you so much Anna. To me it’s all part of the same deal – I paint with words and write with paint… sort of thing. :-) xo

little steps …..and breathing …some days like this ….running hard others, falling back tripping over the same mistake ….and the repeating it all again….And in a rest stop or two ….
the complexity of it all you have made is sound quite reasonable me thinks! xx

  • Thank you KarenSue. It’s something I find quite fascinating – the ways we learn, the lessons placed in front of us – time and again until we learn…. xo

    Good questions Sybille….yes, I hope

  • :-) Thank you Sandra, I hope so too. Maybe it’s like school where at first everything seems so difficult and like we never will be able to understand and then the next year all that we learned is easy and the new stuff is difficult again… until… and so on. Maybe one day we’ll graduate? xo

Will we ever know….I don’t know…each step brings me closer to that growing need. This life is full of circumstances and questions that are left unanswered, but..still I take each step, searching for a clue. I loved this.

  • :-) Thank you so much for your lovely comment. :-) xo
