Memory

She sits bathed in golden light
Holding it close all around her
Letting it caress and soothe her

Butterflies dancing in her hair
Scent of flowers in the air
Glittering star shadows flickering
Moonlight breathing on her skin
Cherry blossoms falling
Blue skies dying
Red berries bleeding
Autumn leaves crunching under her toes

Drawing strength
From that one perfect moment
Inhaling a sense of self
From what once was
Encasing herself in armour
For what is to come.
