No 11 in my diptych series… This time it’s about the way we see the world when we’re little and trying to figure it out. It seemed a very strange place then and everything was possible…

Pay it forward

This image has been nominated to Pay it forward by Christina Rollo – She says about the image: “It’s a Puzzle is my favorite piece by Sybille Sterk. It has a wonderful fairytale feel and I love all of the elements included, mostly the elephant reaching for a sip from the waterfall. The color and details are extremely attractive to the eye and the image calls me to pause and think about all the puzzles in my life?”

How’s that for a wonderful start to the day. Thank you so much Christina! :-)

I am a very creative person and it’s my way of dealing with the world, inside and out. I am only happy when I am making things or painting or writing. There are just not enough hours in the day…. I am into poetry and photo manipulation at the moment and also dabbling in photography. :-)

brilliant, as usual Sybille….it does sometimes feel like a huge jig-saw we walk through….even as an adult….maybe we are always a child inside….sometimes the pieces just fall into place…..sometimes we need to search all the harder. xoxo

  • Thank you so much Cos. I am still trying to puzzle it out too. However, I think when you’re little the limits are further and there are more possibilities. :-) xo

Absolutely great Sybille! I’d say that’s your best one this you stated this series, it’s so excellent, wow! The puzzle pieces are just so great, what an awesome idea, what a story!

  • Thank you so much Gwen :-) I had great fun with this one, but it took much longer than most of the others too. The puzzle pieces were easy to do… The idea of life as a puzzle and to use puzzle pieces for that were what started it all.

Oh wow, just fabulous. I love love love the elephants. (You’ve been watching the TV ads! :o) Can’t remember what it was for, just that the elephant climbed a tree.)This series is spectacular, would make a wonderful calendar – or even better a “coffee table” book of your art work. An instant fave.

  • LOL Didn’t think of the ad, but you’re right there is one. He climbs up to the top of a tree in a rain forest or something but can’t remember why. It’s going to be a calendar. Just need one more. :-) Not sure about the book. Might look at Amazon’s self publishing tool at some point.
