Unfortunately I was too late to enter my image, but I thought ‘since I’ve started, I might as well finish’. :-)

One stipulation of the challenge was to use all the images from the following image set on Flickr

All other images, textures, brushes, stock my own.

If you’re interested where the images have been used:

The Bokeh texture has been used on the background (sky). The window has been used on the tower image (within the frame). The tower image has been used on the image within the frame plus in the background to create the looming shape on the left-hand side. The bedstead has been used as embroidery on the gloves and the dress (shoulder). The crackle texture has been used on the image within the frame and also on the train crossing sign. The train crossing sign has been heavily edited with the crackle texture and by adding new text plus the cat symbol (from Photoshop’s shape library).

I am a very creative person and it’s my way of dealing with the world, inside and out. I am only happy when I am making things or painting or writing. There are just not enough hours in the day…. I am into poetry and photo manipulation at the moment and also dabbling in photography. :-)

Be careful Rapunzel! There are always consequences for indulgence…settle gently back into normal life…rest a while…. ;)

Such a creative piece! I love the use of the picture and braiding to illustrate the change! great work Sybille!

  • LOL Nope, not after years of sitting in her tower. I bet she has a lot of things on her list that she wants to try out….
    :-) Thank you!

Brilliant work Sybille! Your work is always such a great example of what can be done with the simplest of stock images – your imagination is amazing :)

  • Thank you Rosemary. It took some time to get all the different elements together… I wasn’t sure at all if I could do something with them this time. Glad I persevered though. Love those challenges! xo
