Illustration of Alice in Wonderland – 20 years later.
Here’s my Queen of Hearts:
Alice looked around. She’d found the right rabbit hole, but this is where the similarities ended.
The rabbit was grey not white and he looked old and sleepy not excited and in a hurry. The doormouse was on the pot, not in the pot. The Cheshire cat left a trail with its tail not its grin. And the magic bottle was empty.
It had all been so easy, long ago, when she was little and full of magic herself.
What was she to do? she asked herself. Go back? Stomp her foot and cry?
Alice closed her eyes tightly and wished….

I am a very creative person and it’s my way of dealing with the world, inside and out. I am only happy when I am making things or painting or writing. There are just not enough hours in the day…. I am into poetry and photo manipulation at the moment and also dabbling in photography. :-)

Absolutely stunning!!!!!! What a brilliant concept and so beautifully executed. Thank you so much for sharing the details with us too. I always find it quite difficult to see the detail in dark images – so I guess I can empathise with our Alice here- LOL.
I love it Sybylle.
