Another thieving site

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but here’s a book designer site, designing book covers for free with images stolen from artists all over the net. (Well, everything on the net is free, right?) Arrrgghghgh. Check if yours is amongst them… :-( I am sure I recognised a couple…

When I investigated further, there have already been complaints and some book covers had to be taken down. Some of them are aware of it but the ‘company’ doesn’t seem to care to inform their members unless someone contacts them with a ‘take down or else notice’. :-(

Important: Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Bill (ERR)

This could affect all of us, not just those of us in the UK. Please raise awareness by sharing this article on Facebook, Twitter, your blogs and anywhere else you can think of. This only slipped through the net because people weren’t aware enough of it when it was happening.

From the AOI’s Website. Read the complete article there:http://www.theaoi.com/index.php?option=com_cont...

The EER Bill completed its passage through parliament on 24 April 2013, and amongst a host of other new measures included within it the Government is pushing through ill thought out changes to copyright. This is information that all those making income from creative works should be aware of. The Government claimed that allowing use of Orphan Works and Extended Coll…

Desperately Unhappy

Since the changes to the RB design I’ve found myself spending less and less time here. RB to me has become a very unfriendly place where I can never find what I am looking for. Now even the descriptions are gone (yes, I know you can display them, but what’s the point?) and I feel that all that was amazing about RB has vanished. I can’t find my friends, I can’t find the things I favourited so I could buy them later and groups and all things social have become a tedious affair where one has to click and click to maybe find what one was looking for.

I am still going to post for a while and have a presence here, mostly because I am still a co-host in one group and hosting another, however, I think my days are numbered.

This all makes me so sad because once RB was a pla…

It's not you, it's me

Sorry guys, I’ve been very lazy with commenting and replying to comments. This is not because I don’t care but because I hurt my right hand and I’ve got a new book cover project. I am trying to mainly use my hand for the things I have to do, there’s too much I am doing with it already which is why it’s healing so slowly. :-(

I love all the comments and they mean so much to me. I’ll reply to them as soon as my hand is better. :-) Please don’t be cross with me.
