I love making things – from knitting to crochet, (needle) felting to beading, from wire to yarn, silk to merino wool, from semi precious beads to polymer clay to silver, copper and brass, from hemp to jelly yarn, I have to play with it all. And that’s not even including my painting and writing. There are just not enough hours in the day…. Being creative is part of who I am and there’s nothing for it, I just have to play.

Writing
Pompeii or the Landscape of My Heart
Petrified memories / excavated and on show / for gruesome excitement and titillation, / distilled tears of pain, / a spectre still lingering.
Battle
Battered by stormy seas / and waves of black depression, / tendrils of cold despair / seeping into soft, warm flesh.
You Don't See Me at All
I am a painting on the wall, / dark with age and time gone by.
That was Then
My soul, / dying a little death day by day.
You never loved me anyway
You looked at me and saw / the plaster to fit your wounds, / the sun to light your sky, / the flame to warm your hands, / the smile to cheer your day.

A look that warms your cheeks / A smile that makes you glow / A touch that grows butterflies
