Toonces Keeping Warm

My rescued Cymric Manx Toonces does not like to groom so he gets shaved on a regular basis. After one such shave he could be found in front of the fireplace keeping the backside of himself warm. When we rescued him he was bald from his shoulders back. Unfortunately Toonces succumbed to liver failure in June 2009. He will be greatly missed.

He spends most of his life in this position. Never seen a cat sleep on his back as much as this one. He does it with his head tucked up in your armpit for a pillow. I think he feels he is human.

How precious this is. Does he mind being brushed? My long haired kitties are brushed on a daily basis to keep the mats to a minimum. They do not always like it, but are getting used to it. Easier to start when their fur is very short. LOL! This is a wonderful shot.

He loves being brushed. But pulls out his hair when it is long. He is happiest with a short haircut. LOL. He has issues with long hair. He tries to chew on mine all the time. Especially if it is wet.

That looks a great position, I like the idea of warming the nether regions first!
How in the world do you trim a cat without being torn to shreds?

HAHAHA had to laugh at nether regions. My husband is English and uses that term. He loves to to clipped and comes running when he sees the clippers. The had part is that he rubs against them while I am doing it and he ends up with big chunks out all over the place. Takes a few days fofr him to even out.
