The so named ‘Black Rocks’ sit on ‘The Men’s Strand’, one of several main beaches in Ballybunion, Co. Kerry, Ireland. Here the tip of the black rock mass can be seen sitting just off shore in the calm sea.
The black rocks are a mass of incredible textures at close quarters and are a joy to explore at low tide. This image was captured at high tide along with the rocks often exposed by sand shifts on the beach.
