Deals with the devil

Down around he corner,
Where the old oak used to be.
Stood the lonley traveller,
Black dog at his knee.
Humming tunes and keeping time,
Blue denim dirty clean.
Eyes a flashing lightening fire,
Hand reaching out for me.
Standing on the sidewalk,
Up against the window pane,
He beckons..come complete me,
And the devils deal is played.
Down around the corner,
Where I know I shouldn’t be,
In leans the wayward traveller,
And whispers in my ear.
Come with me, come ride away,
Come share my journeys’ path.
He says my name,
And takes my hand….
And I hand him my heart.
