Yes finally will are going and to a beautiful place…heres the description on the website…............
Picturesque, turreted Victorian self catering holiday cottage, the Gate Lodge, set at the main entrance to the estate, beside a bridge over the River Pattack. With attractive views up and down the river, the property has an unusual layout with accommodation on three floors with a spiral staircase running the height of the turret. Gatelodge is a popular honeymoon cottage.
The property is within walking distance of the sandy beach at Loch Laggan and other estate facilities and is within easy driving distance of the Cairngorm mountains, Ben Nevis Ski range and Creag Meagaidh Nature Reserve.
Gate Lodge was used in the first series of Monarch of the Glen….........MAGGIE

I hope the weather is kind to you for your trip. Though I have to say rain and mist gives a mystical atmosphere to the highlands. Do remember to stock up with anti-midge lotion. The highland midge is ferocious, and for every one you kill, another ten thousand descend on you. I really amnt exaggerating. If your unprotected they can drive you insane.

You will love Scotland, I have been several times and am going again early June this year where we have found a very private cottage with its own loch and forest just across the border. I’m sure you will be much inspired!
