Woolmers Estate, (Thomas Archer – the settler circa 1817-1850), is a unique and fascinating reflection of colonial life in Tasmania, and is one of the most historically significant heritage properties in Australia. Today Woolmers Estate continues to display colonial life, preserved and maintained in an original and authentic setting. I spent a night there in one of the restored boutique cottages, convict-built in 1840. What a privilege! A little spooky though I have to admit!
