    very good detail nice colour

  • Thank you John! I like the colours too. Wasn’t sure at first, whether I should put a textured overlay on it, but decided I needed the practice. ;-))

is it some sort of dead grevillea? love the title – was quite convinced it was a phoenician object of some sort!

  • Very close Nadine! It’s definately flora, but no, not a grevillea. I remember seeing one of these things two years ago when I first joined the Bubble, and I thought it was the most gorgeous thing I’d ever seen. That one had a lot more seeds in it than the one I found today, so I’ll have to keep checking for more. :-)

it certainly has an air of royalty to it…sweet post work Ducky.

  • I thought so too once I’d completed it Von, with it’s bronzy tones. hence the ancient title, and I knew the Phoenicians were always seeking tin to mix with copper to make their bronze trinkets. Thanks hun! xxx

Beautiful colors, great photography but what the heck is it?

    beautifully done magee…

  • Thanks Bevellee!! I’m determined to keep at this textured thing till I get it right! I keep saying to myself; “Subtle Magee!! Subtle!”…but I think I’m still way too heavy handed, and not having a collection of good textures as yet doesn’t make it any easier. Yet another excuse for me to keep my camera attatched, like a spare body part.lol!! :-)
