A reflection on Anzac and Easter Monday by

So yesterday we decided to go to town, supplies needed and all. And of course everything was shut. So the plan was to get up early this morning, which we did and go before the crowds got there. I of course forgot it was Anzac Day…and Easter Monday. Town was amazingly quiet, great we thought, we can get out of here in 30 minutes. And then the horrid truth hit…we had four hours until anything at all opened. We drove around car parks, we got a cup of coffee at Mc Donalds ( no one else being open ), we went back to the car park, we left and drove round the empty streets, we went back to the car park and took photos of supermarket trolleys, then we drove round town again. Finally we decided with only an hour to wait we might as well just settle in and muck about in the car. The result, this, an I phone reflection. Shot with Canon 50D with prime 50mm lense.

Great things come from moments like these….like this alot Tracey, the blur background/sharp focus reflection, great use of D.O.F, really effective…and yea, nothing has been open much of the weekend, a big build up to a long weekend, but nothing happening, LOL!

  • The thing is, I always go on about how we have to have everything open to feel good it seems. So this ONE time I actually needed something, nothing was open lol. And 30mins before opening time they were queued outside the door all lined up like penguins. Should have got some crowd shots, people were not looking happy ha. Thanks for the comment, much appreciated
