two ways

the road ,we take
to our dreams,
has byways,that steal
our, attention
away ,from set ,goals
by, heavens wish
and, it ever, seems
we trail on,misteps
not wanted
by, stars over, head
.but ,by,things
we dread,
imagined, lies,
from discontent
voices ,within
our childish ,bent
they come,not from
freedoms ,plan
who, wanted better
intents,
for our immortal ,soul
but,from cowards.fold
some pit, in hell
unnamed,
our betrayer,
unwelcomed ,host

Superb and yes, we all have a dark side Walt – some are just content with their blinders on and don’t recognize the other one….....such a beautiful and visual way you have with words my dear friend ….......and a beautiful warm spirit that will always outshine that darker one….thinking of you! Beautiful poem Walt. Yes we all have a shadow side. Methinks it is about integrating, accepting and dancing with the shadow so that it does not consume us. The light side of you always shines through in your word, humour and your art.

  • madvlad replied

yes anthea only you know the collective pains, joys and insults you had to go through on your long voyage to adulthood, sadly we did have the means, to understand our forming world as kids of innocence, and we were programed to some good and bad idea,s and feelings, some time, along the way, we hada day where we said?hopefully?this is not working for me and we stopped in our path and said?is there a better way?to our selfs and from that moment we took?better control of our loves, although it was , long bettle from that?day to here, by your painting, i see,you struggle too, no you are not losing, you are fully in the game of life thank god, thanks for your words, take care of anthea pax walt hugz

How true! not just for you, but that’s being flawed and human, I guess. You recognise the shadowy self -sometimes it takes me ages to wake up to some stupid thing I’ve done and you poem expresses it well-and I like- the truth shall make you free.

  • madvlad replied
