today, fifty years dropped away
he, had his say,
i ,had mine,
we talked ,of past
mountains, we,d climbed,
no, not, the the ones
of dirt, and, stone
the kind,life, and, living
has only ,known
he, had more scars,
no!it was me!
he ,had more heart aches
no!,it was me!
then ,we laughed
and ,said, it all
no, one gets here ,at the steps ,of heavens door
who hasn,t, had
one, too, many a fall,
but, by far
life, we, agreed
had, been worth ,it
even ,when times
our courage, seemed, so,small
and, we,d hang on,
to the, end,
waiting god,s, call
