This is an Airedale I met at the park in Kalama, WA, USA. She was a little shy and protective of her Mamma so she barked a bit at first. Then she wanted to come visit, but Mamma said no because she jumps up on people. Wish I had her energy!

Thanks so much Jamie!
Thanks so much Georgie, I am honored!
My parents had 3 Airedales, and they all jumped on people! Good thing you didn’t get too close!
Thanks MaryAnn, though I wouldn’t have minded too much. I just Love four legged children! They’re easier to raise and care for than the two legged kind, for certain! And they let you baby them no matter how old they get. My boy is an old man now, but he’s still by baby! My daughter- the two legged kind- thinks she’s much too old for any show of affection (15) and is embarrassed to be seen with me. I adore her anyway of course, and I know she come round eventually, I did, but I need a baby to cuddle and Cleatis loves to fill in in that department.
Great Caption! He does look happy to see you. I haven’t seen any Airedales for years. My Grandfather used to breed & show them in the UK when my mother was a girl she and her siblings had to take turn cleaning out the kennels before they went to school. They were not happy chappies.
Thanks Rita! and I don’t blame them, that’s not a fun chore. My Mother also bred and showed dogs (Shih Tzu) and I have had my share of cleaning out pens. Yuck! (LOL) Still Love dogs though!
Great shot of this beautiful dog. I love it.
