This is one of the thoughts or meditations that develop as I work on the Visions of Man project.

This is some of the thoughts…

The Human Machine

The Human Machine, this perpetual consciousness that exponentially explodes with possibilities, pounds away at time, ever persistent and ever relentless, it marches on like a good soldier. It—we, undaunted by our own horrors, and self-justified, we in our own means, longing, hoping and ever wanting strive to obtain an end that often believed to be a new beginning and the dawning of an new age edging on the horizon of our unforeseen future. This which is believed to be that Greatness of Man and we, for better or worse seek out the truth of our nature and will where we come to shape our devils and angels of this world that waken within us and those truths of reality. Whether heaven or hell may come we continue, we persist to be for better or for worse… but we again, like good little soldiers we continue to march on.
The Nature of Will that soldiers on, internally and externally we embrace this terrible and fierce will’s desire to be, and in our ever constant struggle of conquest of self and our world, we continue on in unbridled furies to that dawning point of destiny where fates’ fickled wrath awaits to embrace us, in glory and shame we are remembered.
Man’s Nature within and without is to War, wanting conquests and milestones to measure what we have become and what we have lost and what we have gained. Remembering what we were, and we all too often forgetting those lessons learnt. But in truth we are no different and no better than what we were yesterday or what we were a thousand years ago. We, our nature does not change, only our means and methods to war within and to strike without alters in ego and is magnified in man’s own genius. When it comes to war, man is that divine angel that brings that fiery sword in its many forms.
We are at war with ourselves and God… whatever form or matter of consciousness that it may take in our own understanding and sensibilities of truth. I will not presume to know what ‘God’ is or isn’t, for that in itself is a means to ends that often are not what they quite appear to be and that ‘name of God’ is a master and a creator of war, strife and righteous bigotry, masking man’s petty holiness.
But Man’s nature and will is simply to war against himself and the world, that is self evident in man and his existence. It defines us and shapes us in mind, body and soul and that peace that man longs for is ever self-illusive, for it in itself is an internal struggle to find and know the ‘self of one’s soul.”
We are but fire and wind harvested and sown in earthen bodies, where our infinite consciousness is finite bound to a single point of knowing. We are but a speck in time that comes to be a shadow whispered and those mad prayers that haunt us and this world are but spectres that will not know no silence or rest.
Man is a creature of wonder and horror, where a promise of hope is whispered and lost to our own darkness. It is in our own fears and those many mad prayers that come to haunt us, and this world.
Our hope, that which is believed to be hope, all too often is our own undoing, and our failures are all too often lessons that go unheeded. That which is believed to be weakness often comes to save us from ourselves because it is often overlooked in our arrogance and blindsided by our pride.
