Does anyone know the protocol regarding a signature on a photograph as compared to a painting or piece of artwork? I was told if you want to sell a photo not to put your name on it. Just courious.
Thanks
Pat

Hi just joined this group… So Hi. And noticed you had posted this question… i dont think there are and hard and fast rules but in my opinion a signature on the front of a framed photograph dosnt quite work ! compared to an say an oil painting, Having it printed on the front in type does look good. What i have done is put on the back of my photgraphs once framed is a certificate with my signature, detailing the photo name and print run etc. But hey this is art.. do what you feel is right for you.
