This has been so well done and part of its attraction is that you have been able to communicate your compassion in your approach to this portrait.
The balance between the subject and his environment works so well in keeping him the prime element in the frame which is made moreso by the great composition.
The eye contact makes it all the more riveting and personal and your colour treatment adds its impact to the story.
