Profile
To consider how many hours I’ve spent patiently stalking tiny critters is somewhat of a frightening prospect. But there is an undeniable fascination in seeing details revealed through Macro photography that could not be seen with the naked eye.
As a general “rule of thumb”, I don’t fiddle with my photographic images, other than perhaps minor level adjustments (e.g. contrast). I take the view that, if it needs serious editing to “make it look good”, then it simply isn’t a shot worth keeping.
Since I do a lot of photography, I rather ruthlessly delete any images that don’t make the cut (probably keeping only 3 to 5 percent of all shots taken). There are days when I’ll spend hours roaming around taking shots, then summarily delete the lot after reviewing them.
