PLEASE VIEW LARGE – The king and his queen, male and female lion – (panthera leo) – I photographed them just after sunset in the Kgalagadi, just south of Mata Mata, Northern Cape, South Africa. Mata Mata is on the South African/Namibian border.

A few minutes after I took this photograph, the pair moved on, they walked within a meter of a new-born Springbok, was amazing to witness as the new-born has no scent detectable by big cats. Must say that I was very pleased for the little buck, it survived another night.

My interest in the field of photography began in childhood, starting with film, then a ‘splatter’ of videography and finally the migration to DSLR photography.

I hope you enjoy viewing my interpretation of the Natural World through my lens.
