Change on the way!
All this movement of clouds on the Alps, and in the far west Tasman Sea the sun throws a passing glance before it dips over the horizon, Sometimes it shaves peaks, and on others clouds, or both. Aoraki (Mt Cook) stands alone.

Viewed larger, this is a fabulous shot Robin. The colour contrast between the warm red and cold blues really go well. Like it. I can sense the quiet isolation when I view this. This is definitely one for my favourites.

Yes this was a time in the evening, and later when a friend and I would drive down from the Mt Cook village and photograph images during that violet time, a short span of magic, and then boonmp! It was gone.Bliss, when it happened. During the time when Pinatubo erupted in the Northern Phillapines, and sent ash high into upper atmosphere, globally, the afterglow as good as completely vanished.
