Adopt A Cat

Adopt A Cat

I think this is an important message if anyone is considering getting a cat (or any animal)...So many cats are being brought into shelters everyday, thousands a year are unwanted and one third or more do not make it!
PLEASE it is very important to get your animal spayed or neutered to cut down on the loss of so many…if the shelters can’t take anymore cats in, some people even abandon and leave their cats on the street to fend for themselves.

Thank you so much Elaine! I was inspired tonight when I saw this local ad about someone desperately looking for a home for an abandoned cat in their neighborhood…it is VERY cold out now and I emailed them to see if I could adopt him.I can’t stand knowing that there is a cat near by that needs help!!

This is a beautiful card, and I think it has a Christmas theme, from the cats’ viewpoint.
What a beautiful liitle guy this is, and he’s almost invisible against the cold cement steps!

I don’t have a sad-kitty shot, but if you took one and added the legend on the card, “Give the gift of Love and a Home this Christmas” on the card…. or something like it. It’s so sad to see animals unwanted and unloved. . . and it’s going to get worse as it’s harder and harder for families just to get along- cats and dogs will put too big a strain on budgets…

I still think a society’s level of godliness and civilization can only be measured by how it treates its old people, its children, and its animals.

We’re feeding 10, 5 of them are feral outside. I went online and found that the US stores called PETCO are working on a non-lethal, trap, neutar, return and help with food system. I meant to call the local one today. Online they have paperwork for getting one started.

I’ve never had children and cats have always been my babies. But they’re good babies and they never graduate and leave home! lol

  • macabrecat replied

You are so right Dayonda!: ) I have so much respect for ALL animals and I get so sad whenever there is one in pain.I’ve been vegetarian since I was 12 years old for that very reason. I know exactly what you mean, my cats are my children as well..and I can really tell that they love me.They’re always sitting beside me, following me everywhere(even to the bathroom!)LOL..
I’ve heard some people say that they don’t have personalities!! But it’s the total opposite, if you ask me! ;D
The Christmas card idea was a great one, thanks for the suggestion! :D

Fabulous shot with a great message! I would adopt them all if I could! Just wish more people would adopt from centres! xxx
All eight of mine are rescues, one came from a fabulous couple who are cat fosterers (and have become dear friends!) four are ex ferals, and three are my ‘dumplings’ (abandoned by other ‘people’) that I could not and would not turn away!
A more adorable and loving bunch you could never ask for! xxx

Awesome shot of this beautiful cat, I love the shape of his head lol, funny I know, but I do, it’s really full looking and round!!!!!! Thank you for putting your message up as well, it kills me to know that so many people do put their cats or dogs out on the street or turn them in to a shelt just for them to be put down, very heartbreaking!!!!!
