The Little Wagtail

Dedicated To A Friend

We saw a little wagtail
Never thought she stood a chance
The wind was blowing such a gale
You could tell that by her stance

But that brave little wagtail
With courage raw and strong
Flapped her wings and wagged her tail
And tried to move along

Now that tiny little wagtail
Going nowhere very fast
Turned right around and with that gale
Went sailing right on past

That courageous little wagtail
As she hit the speed of sound
Never thought that she would fail
Just for being on the ground

The moral to this tale
With a soul that’s deep and strong
Just like that little wagtail
You will know where you belong

What a beautiful piece of writing. I believe that deep down we all have the courage we need to make our lives full, our loves lasting and strong, and our dreams fulfilled. Self doubt is one of the biggest obstacles we face as humans, however, that is what we are – human. Thankyou for sharing.
