One morning as I was having a cup of tea,
The leaves came together forming a tree;
Reminding me of all the great gifts from trees:
Oxygen, habitat, fruits, as well as tea leaves;
Like the leaves in my cup depicting their birth,
Grown from trees that were planted in the earth.
In the yellow fluid as though glowing in the sun,
They gather at the bottom of the funnelled white cup.
So I was having a conversation with my mother while twirling my cup of tea, and suddenly the leaves came close together to what looked like a tree. I decided to take a picture of it, and it ended up looking like egg. Meanwhile it also reminded me of the Japanese flag.
