The sun was setting under the rain;
Mixing together like tears and bloodstains.
At that moment the rainbow was gone,
As I searched for the place where I belonged.
.
I’ve seen the sun out during a rain shower before; though this may have been the first time I saw sun setting while it was raining. Moments before, during the sunny rain, there was a rainbow but it quickly vanished. Meanwhile the moon was already shining while a plane was flying by; and though the rain bound the sky and the earth where I stood on, heaven was out if my reach as the gravity and rain held me down to the wet ground.

Mui, Very well done. Both the image and your words. I could easily envy your way with words, but I will only enjoy them instead.

Wrote the verse at least two days ago, though I posted the pic today (September 29, 2012)

If the emotions raised by your image can be described, you did it! One of those moments that you keep forever…. so well done!
Certainly is; there were so many spectacles going on at once. I have seen a rainbow surrounding a moon several times before (my first time was during my internship in Japan, saw it many times and since then have seen them often) but perhaps my first time to see a bowed one and a moon outside at the same time – as well perhaps the first to see a sunset in the rain (though I’ve sunny rains before). The scene does help take my mind of life’s complications. Thank you Margot.

This is a splendid photo MuiLing…really beautiful..
Thank you Janis; though there has been many cold or rainy days this Autumn, there have been some beautiful days. And though I usually don’t like rain, it is beautiful when it rains on a sunny day, and in this case during a sunset. By the way yesterday was warm, I even felt hot and took off my jacket while I was out – and I was even in a t-shirt…
