That`s one of my favourite temples in Japan. I love Hase Dera.
I took a picture very close to there. It`s in my Red Bubble art work, called “Bamboo Grove.”
I love that temple too. I love Kamakura; it has many lovely shines and temples. I tend to prefer being in the cultural places in Japan as opposed to the metropolitan areas like Tokyo.

this is such a lovely paradox… in some ways they belong together…. in others they are light years apart……… wonderful capture and composition……..M-L T…………. it’s even a before and after if you think about it………….b
Great observation b! And speaking of materiality, people often sit under these umbrellas and drink tea; and things used to make or serve tea (whisks, coasters, tea sticks) are commonly made of bamboo as well.
