Taken at the Botanical Garden in Singapore on June 28, 2011 – lots of amazing unusual trees there!

Spring is here… Although in Singapore winter doesn’t even exist!

When I was little Singapore was my favorite place to visit as it was such a vibrant tropical country! At the same time a place where I wouldn’t a culture shock; my family and I visited many places in Asia, and at the time I didn’t appreciate traditional cultures as much – now I love it! Singapore isn’t too different from Western countries and it’s an English speaking.

Taken with a CASIO EX-FC100 – My brother’s camera. I didn’t have my usual Olympus on me that time because a certain somebody borrowed it and didn’t return it to me on time >: ( (not that my camera is better than my brother’s but I was more used to my own. For much of the trip I just used the default setting). Although I’m kinda glad I used my brother’s camera on this trip – although it’s a compact camera, the resolution actually high enough to make as posters – that means this is my first photographic poster upload.

Must have brought back many good memories. Love the tree. I am always interested in trees, and like taking pictures of trees. This one is very interesting. Love the roots. Poor thing is surrounded by cement.

  • Thank you very much Wanda. It was actually my first time seeing a tree like this. Singapore is a tropical country, and I’ve often explored the city. Every time I’ve been there I’d remember all the palm trees (the common type as well the fan tree). Ah yes, the cement…
