“Landform” is a sculpted piece of land by Charles Jencks located just outside the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh, Scotland. After finishing my internship in London, UK I only spent about a day and a half in Edinburgh but did a whole lot. Landform was my first stop. Can see more photos from my trip in my Edinburgh Calendar where I describe my single day journey.
As Is, taken with an Olympus FE-340 on April 19, 2009. I did bring a tripod (which I bought a few days before for the purpose of this trip) but I don’t think I used it here; the beautiful weather and mother nature did its work. I only bought the tripod because I knew that with an early morning flight there, I wouldn’t have likely been able to ask other people to take my picture.
It was a nice way to end my time in Europe. I was working in London from January – April 2009; it was winter and it was cold. Occasionally I found myself feel stressed – sometimes from work, sometimes for matters occurring at home (in Canada) I had to look after even though I was far away, and very often still debating in my mind where I wanted to be in the future as I was about to finish my final term in school. A trip to a city full of green scenery towards the spring was a lovely getaway. I was expecting it to be cold (as I heard that it was very cold and windy in Edinburgh) but luckily the weather was fantastic!
