The sketch that accompanied the photo I uploaded yesterday. As mentioned there, I did several sketches during my exchange in Italy. This one is on the top of the Temple of Jupiter in Cumae, Italy, our first stop during our Southern Italy field trip.
We had assignment where we had to do a sketch from the urban assignment everyday; and we were expected to hand in the sketchbook at the end of the semester. Realistically though, I don’t think anyone actually drew everyday – rather we just drew on our time whenever convenient to us – but that’s okay as long as we had at least 90 sketches by the end of the semester (and since the first day of the semester, there were 100 days). All the sketches I did during the semester are quite different from one another, and I’ll be uploading a few more examples in the next few days; hope you enjoy!
Drawn with a STAEDLER pigment liner, with some shading done in a grey marker (the label is all scratched so I don’t know the details) on a A4 paper in my sketchbook. Here are some photos of what it was like being at the top
